The Daytons 500 was a great race. It would have been more exciting if we had eliminated the first 140 laps and just run a 60 lap sprint, thats where all the action was. The drivers all kept a cool head until the money lap was close. The Dodges did a great job of placing themselves in a position to win. That is really what the deal is about. Putting yourself in a position to win.
I was looking for the Toyotas out of the Gibbs camp to win the whole show. They had the cars to beat but the handwriting is on the wall. Toyota is a force to be reconed with this year and it is clear they have cracked the code. They will be a force this year. I would look for NASCAR to review the engines in the very near future. We will have to see just how they run in unrestricted form.
